Hello Friends,
It’s really here! Pumpkin time and spices and scarves and layering. We’re truly so over summer and unless you’re in Seattle, you probably are too.
So here’s to fall and all the coziness it brings, like curling up with your favorite human (or fur person) and a perfect glass of wine.
Of course the change in weather gets me thinking about fall decorating and my daughter, Charlie, loves to help, so we’ve got a bunch of things on our autumn must-have list I thought I should share with you.
It’s pretty clear that every fall we need a new doormat and we found this simple and sweet one–because doesn’t everyone want to be greeted by a, "Hey there, Pumpkin,” doormat?
How many times have you seen Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice? We’re only at three, but we’re going to stop counting soon. When I saw this replica of the Handbook For The Recently Deceased that’s actually a journal, I knew it needed multiple copies–one for my coffee table, one to go in my bag to actually write on and one or two to give as hostess gifts.
I also love these wooden kitchen tools for my own counter, but also as another gift option. Charlie was especially fond of the heart.
We put in a pool last summer and we’ve got a little patio off the guest room that needs a seating area. We think this fire pit will be perfect for the cool nights that finally hit Austin sometime around December or January.
I like the idea of sitting by the fire with Charlie after a hard day making fall crafts, with a glass of wine in hand and my favorite fall playlist on repeat.
Here’s to fall!
Sarah
